Lucy Bryant's home sustained major damage during Hurricane Michael and Sunday, they stepped back into their living room for the first time.

The home was rebuilt as what the Nice and Dry Roofing and Handyman Guys company call a love project, meaning all the repairs were done for free.

Darrell Powell, with Nice and Dry Roofing and Handyman Guys LLC said, "We gutted it. We stripped it right down to the studs, to the rafters. Did mold and mildew removal, installed drywall and paint, and just put a little love in it, you know?"

As the family stepped back into the rebuilt home, it was a new but familiar feeling.

Joyce Comer, a family member said, "It's history, it's our family genealogy. It's the first time we get to come together as a family with a lot more love and appreciation for being here and having family."

With the new home comes opportunities to make memories, to laugh, and to celebrate as a family.

Comer said, "It's overwhelming, it's joy, it's sorrow, it's hope, but most of all it's all love."

Some say a house is nothing more than four walls, but with a little love, support, and elbow grease, it becomes a home.

And as the saying goes, there's no place like it.
