PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - More than a dozen local churches gathered at the High Praise Worship Center in Panama City to help record a song dedicated to our community.
The churches gathered to sing the song "Heal Our Land" which was written by local pastor Robert Gay in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.
The recording was cross-denominational and hoped to spread a message of unity and hope.
Gay said, "I believe in the midst of the storm and everything else we have going on, there is a hope in Christ and we can grab hold of that. That's really the message we're communicating."
Darrell Kelly, the Pastor at Free Spirit Community Church added, "As spiritual leaders and churches come together and are able to break those barriers, that should be able to translate also into the community for those barriers to be broken amongst the people."
They hope to have the full song recorded and released by the end of the month.
