The deadline to pay off Walmart layaways is fast approaching, that's why one local non-profit stepped into help.

All Things PCB Outreach stopped by the 23rd Street Walmart in Panama City Sunday to help locals pay off some of their layaways.

The group said Walmart employees set aside $5,000 worth of layaways to pay off, and the group paid off that and a little extra.

Officials said the holidays are all about giving back and while some are better off than they were last year, many are still struggling.

Chris Jennings of All Things PCB Outreach said, "I think it's super important. I think everyone should give back no matter what, whether it's easy or hard, one way or the other. I think it's important to give back to an area that's been so good to us."

The Jennings' said the money was raised through local donations as well as Giving Tuesday donations.
