A local woman was taken into custody after police said she stabbed her husband during a dispute at their home.
Panama City Beach Police say they received a call about a stabbing at Laketown Wharf Condominiums early Monday morning.
When they arrived, they found a victim with multiple stab wounds in his back, chest and arms.
He was taken to a local hospital.
The victim identified his wife, Kristy Linton Williams, 43, as the person who stabbed him.
His injuries are non-life threatening and he is expected to make a full recovery.
Williams is a teacher with Bay District Schools. Superintendent Bill Husfelt sent out this statement about Williams:
"We hold our educators to the highest of standards, professionally and personally, and so news of the arrest of an employee is very disheartening. In this situation, as in all others, the employee is suspended with pay (per the union contract) while the investigation continues."
