One Panama City local is getting a chance to rebuild her home after Hurricane Michael caused severe damages.
Anna Jean Hembree, a retired cardiac technician at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center, is now getting a new roof.
She's lived in the same home for 32 years.
Thanks to a friend of hers being a customer of Tadlock Roofing, the company heard her story and wanted to help as part of their Buy a Roof, Give a Roof project.
ABC Supply Company helped donate some materials and church members from Texas drove down to help with labor.
"It's more than I could've ever asked for because I had given up hope and four days after I'd truly given up and thought that I could just be done with it and let go of the hope, I got the call that they were ready to come," said Hembree.
Hembree says the first thing she wants to do when she gets back in her home is sit down with her dog and crochet.
