Luncheon for Jackson County first responders
First responders and medical staff in Jackson County were thanked for their service Friday.
The Center for Vein Restoration in Dothan hosted a luncheon at Jackson Hospital in Marianna.
They catered Hunt's Seafood and Steak Restaurant for first responders and those working at the hospital.
Organizers said they wanted to reach out and say thank you to those who go above and beyond, especially after Hurricane Michael.
Dr. Kenneth Todd said, "Even though we're from Dothan you know 35 miles away, we have a lot of ties to this community," Center for Vein Restoration Medical Director Dr. Kenneth Todd said. "We see a lot of patients in this community and we're very concerned that they shouldn't be forgotten through the holidays."
Organizers said they brought enough food to feed about 450 people.
