LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Another sign things are recovering after Hurricane Michael.
The Bay County Tax Collector's Lynn Haven Service Center will reopen next week. Officials say it has been closed since October due to damage.
“We are incredibly excited to reopen this service center which has historically been one of our busiest,” Tax Collector Chuck Perdue said. “We understand the hardship so many of our customers have endured and we look forward to serving them again in their backyard. We’re also bringing new services to the location in the coming months.”
Starting June 19th, the office will be back to full operation. Lynn Haven Service Center is located at 700 Florida Avenue, Lynn Haven. Officials say customers will also be able to renew online before 3 p.m. and select same day pick up at the Lynn Haven location without having to wait. They say this feature is already available at all other Bay County Tax collector offices.
They say beginning in July, driving road tests by appointment will starts. In the fall the office plans to add concealed weapon applications and TSA Pre-Check services by appointment.
