Lynn Haven home destroyed by fire
A Lynn Haven home was destroyed by a fire Wednesday.
Fire officials responded to a home on Minnesota Avenue just after noon.
There was one person at the home at the time of the fire.
They say she was able to get out but was rushed to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation.
Investigators say they're not sure yet what caused the fire, but they have an idea.
"We believe it's gonna be unattended cooking but we're still digging into that. Reports say that she was cooking, stepped outside, went back inside, and the house was on fire," said Lynn Haven's Fire Chief John DeLonjay.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze quickly, but they say the home is a total loss.
