LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - In Lynn Haven, locals impacted by Hurricane Michael are about to get some extra cash to go toward the recovery process.
The city organized a hurricane relief trust fund for it's residents and thanks to donations from several foundations and organizations, they've raised about $100,000 so far.
City leaders are trying to give $1,000 to as many households that apply as possible.
"We're just now starting to get more and more money out and we're bringing 75 applications to the commission on Tuesday this week and with those being approved, we'll move forward and start handing out money Wednesday," Lynn Haven City Manager Michael White said.
Head to the city's website, linked on this page, to find the application for the financial help.
Make sure to include insurance forms and letters from FEMA if possible.
