Lynn Haven officials talk progress ahead of Hurricane Michael Anniversary

As Hurricane Michael recovery continues throughout the Panhandle, we've been visiting with different communities to speak with officials about the progress made so far. Jordan McCool joined us live from Lynn Haven with more on what has been done there.
Fire Chief John Delonjay says the year since the storm has been a crazy ride, but so far every day is getting better.
"I urge everybody to use safety as the first thing. Listen to your emergency management," he said. "It's mother nature. She can do what she wants, and you know we're trying to give everyone as much warning as we can."
Mayor Margo Anderson says she is excited about where the city is right now, but that there is still a long way to go before reaching "normalcy".
"We have come a thousand miles, but like Robert Frost said 'We still got a long way to go in this parade'," she said.
The City of Lynn Haven is hosting a day of commemorating and celebrating on October 10 at Sharon Sheffield Park starting at 11 a.m. There will be activities, food, giveaways and live music. Anderson also says there will be a very special announcement about the city's hurricane relief fund.
