A Jackson County man has been charged with cyberstalking after allegedly refusing to leave a local judge alone.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, Victor Duvall, 47, of Marianna sent the judge numerous emails between September 2019 and May 2020 about a case from when the judge was once Duvall's attorney. Duvall expressed that he felt he had been treated unfairly.

The judge responded to Duvall warning him to not email or text him anymore. Officials say Duvall then began demanding that the judge resign.

Duvall was contacted by officials and was advised to stop sending the emails or he would be charged. Officials say he began sending emails again on Tuesday, May 26, and a warrant was subsequently obtained for his arrest on Wednesday, May 27.

Duvall has been charged with cyberstalking.
