Man indicted on murder charges in beating death of ex-girlfriend

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - An Okaloosa County man has been indicted on charges of first-degree premeditated murder.

The State Attorney's Office announced Tuesday Jarod Skiles, 46, is being indicted in the beating death of his ex-girlfriend Michele Lemmo, 47, in November.

Authorities say after killing Lemmo, Skiles stole Lemmo's car. Skiles was caught a couple days after Lemmo's death along with Mary Mulcahey, 25.

Mulcahey is facing grand theft auto charges along with possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies said they found a syringe in her purse she used to inject heroin.

Skiles was also indicted on charges of grand theft auto and resisting a law enforcement officer without violence.

He's being held without bond at the Okaloosa County Jail. He's slated to appear before a judge on February 20.
