A man accused of drinking and driving and killing someone in 2018 has entered a plea Thursday.

The State Attorney's Office says Guillermo Lopez pleaded guilty to DUI manslaughter and driving with no valid license resulting in death.

On March 4, 2018, Lopez was driving a Dodge Ram truck after drinking alcohol. He hit Kimberly Mason, who was driving a Honda Accord at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway 98 in Panama City Beach. Mason died instantly from the crash. Lopez later admitted to drinking alcohol before the crash. His blood level was twice the legal limit.

Lopez was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
