Hurricane Michael devastated Bay County and surrounding areas, including the area's medical facilities. Administrators at Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center have been working around the clock to repair and reopen the hospital to pre-storm levels.

Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center CEO Brad Griffin stopped by our studios and announced that the hospital is expected to reopen at 100-percent by Monday afternoon. Griffin said the state will inspect the last section of the hospital on Monday morning, and after approved, the hospital will be functioning at the same level as before the storm.

Services at Gulf Coast have been coming back in stages as repairs are made. The emergency department remained open before, during and after the storm.
