Medical Monday: Heart healthy eating
Most of us know we should eat healthy and exercise, but we might not realize what a healthy diet entails.
Registered Dietitian Brittany Schicho from Gulf Coast Regional Medical Center says most everyone should add more fruits and vegetables. Schicho says the American diet relies too heavily on meat. Instead of a plate full of meat and a small portion of vegetables, she advises flip flopping that to include a small portion of meat and mostly fruits and vegetables to fill the plate.
