Memorial Day Forecast
Good Memorial Day morning everyone.
It's a quiet start on radar in our skies with a bit of cloud cover cruising by. Far out into the Gulf there are some scattered showers we'll keep an eye on, as they may hold together long enough to bring us some scattered showers today.
Otherwise, it's a warm and humid morning with temperatures in the 70s for just about everyone. We'll get quite warm and humid again today with temperatures quickly reaching the 80s this morning and on our way to highs nearing 90 degrees away from the Gulf or bays where temperatures reach the mid 80s.
As I mentioned before, we'll see a chance for the scattered showers in the Gulf to reach the Panhandle today by the midday and afternoon. So if you do have some outdoor plans, such as the beach, we'll need to keep a weather eye to the sky. Otherwise, I anticipate a bit more cloud cover to cruise by today with partly to mostly cloudy conditions. But you should still manage to get some sunshine through the clouds.
We'll see a bit more unsettled weather head our way this week with rain chances almost every day for the Panhandle, especially away from the coast. An area of low pressure, non-tropical, is stirring up the rain in the Gulf and over the Florida Peninsula today and tomorrow. However, a broader area of low pressure is going to post up over Texas to our west and that system may produce enough large rain bands to reach us come midweek Wednesday and Thursday. Rain chances will diminish heading into the weekend.
For today, partly cloudy skies with a chance for a passing shower. Highs today reach the mid to upper 80s. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running unsettled through the midweek with rain chances on the higher side, but diminishing by the weekend.
