PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG) - The founder of Mercy Chefs joined us in the studio to talk about how they're feeding people in our area next week.
Mercy Chefs is a non-profit that provides professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals in times of national emergencies and disasters. They came to Panama City after Hurricane Michael and are back to serve volunteer rebuilding crews as they clean up debris and help rebuild homes.
The end goal is to provide families who have lost so much with comforts like having access to a kitchen and being able to prepare and enjoy a hot meal as a family.
