Mexico Beach to host first fishing tournament since Hurricane Michael

MEXICO BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Mexico Beach is hosting its first fishing tournament since Hurricane Michael.

The 8th Annual Gollywopper Classis will be June 21st and 22nd. Anglers of all skill levels from around the Southeast and beyond will take to the Gulf in search of red snapper, kingfish, and grouper.

There will also be a kids tournament, live music, party, and more. All proceeds will go toward rebuilding the Mexico Beach pier and canal project.
