Michael Morris is the 850Strong Student of the Week

This week's 850Strong Student of the Week is the youngest yet.

Michael Morris is a second grader at Wewahitchka Elementary School.

His teachers say he always strives to be better.

One teacher told us Michael completed his homework days early, and even did extra work at home to learn more.

His teacher says he went far beyond what was expected of him during distance learning, and is an excellent example of an 850Strong student.

Michael gave a simple explanation of why he is so driven in school. He said he works so hard "to get good grades, to pass where I can go to third grade."

Michael enjoys playing basketball and fishing and while he does not know what he wants to be when he grows up, some of his latest answers were being a policeman, a garbage man, or being in the military.
