PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Its been more than six months since Hurricane Michael and the clock is ticking while locals and lawmakers alike await more legislative relief money.
So Wednesday Michael's Angels is taking matters into their own hands.
The non-profit group is rallying in Tallahassee as a call to action. They say six months after a disaster, most devastated areas receive federal funding... while the Panhandle still waits.
Michael's Angels member Jennifer Burg said, "Right now we're actually running a countdown if you will, or count up rather, of how many days it's been since Hurricane Michael until a disaster bill has been passed in Congress and right now we're at what--185 days? And up until this storm the longest that it had been was 74 days."
