Good Monday morning everyone!
It's an active start on radar this morning with showers and thunderstorms rolling in from the west. We'll need to rain gear up for today as more will be possible throughout the daytime.
Otherwise, most of us are waking up pretty mild with temperatures near 70 degrees. Those who are dealing with a round of storms this morning may have some fog to battle on the roadways as well. So rain gear up for today, and give yourself a few extra minutes out the door in anticipation of slower travels.
We'll likely catch a break in the rain around mid to late morning as two bands of storms have developed off an area of low pressure developing over Texas and Louisiana. This low will move into Mississippi and Alabama through today and tonight and will be the catalyst of developing rounds of rain. The next band of storms should move in for the afternoon, and while there is some chance for severe weather, it is very low end where gusty winds and maybe some hail would be our only concerns.
The low will continue to slide slowly east tonight into tomorrow stirring up some scattered, spotty showers tonight and tomorrow with some thunderstorms possible. We'll finally clear out the forecast behind this low heading into the midweek.
For today, mostly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms likely. Highs today reach the mid to upper 70s. Your 7 Day Forecast will keep us a bit unsettled heading into tomorrow with more scattered showers or storms possible.
