Good Monday morning everyone!

It's a quiet start on radar over NWFL but a few clouds are cruising by off showers and thunderstorms far off to our west and northwest. We shouldn't have any rain concerns under the increasing clouds we see today.

Otherwise, it's a mild start with temperatures largely in the 50s. A light jacket for the early morning hours will do you just fine. We'll see enough sunshine in the morning to get us warming fairly quickly into the 60s after 9am. Highs this afternoon return to the 70s despite the clouds increasing throughout the day.

We'll expect to see mainly overcast skies by sunset tonight as the showers and storms to our west and northwest slowly push deeper into the Southeast. Those storms are developing along a long stalled out cold front that will slowly meander to the southeast today and tomorrow. Yet we'll likely remain dry in the early week forecast, if not, maybe just a stray shower chance into Tuesday and Wednesday.

An area of low pressure will form along the tail end of this front in Texas by Wednesday. That low will bring in a cold front for Thursday morning which appears to be our next best shot at a shower or thunderstorm.

Until then, and despite the general cloudiness to the early week, we'll be quite mild temperature-wise. Highs remain in the 70s through the midweek with morning lows in the 60s.

A cool down heads our way after Thursday's cold front. Temperatures will dip down into the more seasonal 60s for highs by late day Thursday and into the early weekend.

Bottom Line...

For today, clouds increase throughout the day with breezy southeasterly winds at 10-15mph with gusts up to 20mph. Highs today reach the low to mid 70s for most locations. Your 7 Day Forecast keeps us running mild but cloudy through much of the early week with little rain chance until Thursday.
