Mosley alum T'ara Ceasar's had quite the freshman year at Georgia; ranking highest among freshmen in the nation in kills, points, and service aces, and being named All-SEC, and SEC Freshman of the Week seven times.

But there's one honor she'll never forget.

"I remember looking at an email and it said, 'Congratulations, you've been picked to be on one of the collegiate national teams,'" Ceasar said.

The outside hitter was one of 12 players that made the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team China Tour.

"I remember just freezing," Ceasar said. "And I was like, 'Oh my gosh, I have to call my mom!' I didn't know what to think. I was like, 'Am I really good enough to go and compete in China?'"

This summer, Ceasar trained, toured, and competed in China.

"I'm really young, so for me seeing that, and a bunch of girls I grew up watching play finally in my presence, it was just like, 'Oh my gosh,'" Ceasar said.

The 11-day trip gave her more confidence and experience to take back to Athens.

"Just all of the girls when I got to meet them, they really helped me feel comfortable with myself," Ceasar said. "And they all helped me realize that I am a good player. Having a little self-confidence can go a long way with that."

It also gave her a different life outlook.

"It makes you realize this is a blessing," Ceasar said. "Not everyone gets to say that 'I went to China.' It's just really eye-opening. It's something that you don't get to see every day, you get to do every day. And I think for me, I'm just really blessed that I got to go."

Ultimately all of Ceasar's honors, trips, opportunities, and successes stem from a round leather ball.

"It has earned me the privilege to play at a D1 college," Ceasar said. "It's earned me the privilege to represent USA in another country. So for me, I will always think what the sport of volleyball has brought to me and all that it's given me."

Ceasar and the USA went 4-1 on that trip to China.
