UPDATE: Suspect caught near Highway 231

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - UPDATE 05/10/2019 2:41 p.m.

Bay County Sheriff's Deputies announced they have caught a suspect who escaped custody Friday morning.

Deputies, along with Panama City Police and U.S. Marshals, caught Devar San Jacus Donaldson around 499 South Highway 231 at about 2:15 p.m.

The Bay County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals, and the Panama City Police Department are looking for a federal fugitive that fled custody early Friday morning.

Devar San Jacus Donaldson, 27, is described as a black male with short black hair weighing about 160 pounds. He is still wearing handcuffs, a white t-shirt, and shorts. He fled the Foxwood Apartments area heading toward Highway 231.

If you see Donaldson, you are asked to please call 911.

Also, Bay District Schools have announced that Jinks Middle School and Bay High School are on soft lock down this morning as they search for Donaldson.
