Multiple rememberance ceremonies in our area to honor 9/11 victims

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG) - Eighteen years ago today, thousands of Americans lost their lives in the September 11 attacks. Jordan McCool was live in front of Panama City City Hall with the details of just one of the events being held in our area to honor their memory.

The City of Panama City will be hosting a flag-raising ceremony this morning at 9 a.m. in front of City Hall located on Harrison Avenue. The city will be assisted by the Sea Cadets from North Bay Haven Charter Academy. Remarks will be made by City Manager Mark McQueen.

Other events are also being held early this morning.

For example, in Lynn Haven, the city will be hosting its annual 9/11 Remembrance and Recognition Ceremony 9:00 a.m. at the Sharon Sheffield Park Amphitheater.

In Panama City Beach, Arnold High School Interact Club is hosting a 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony at the Arnold High School Auditorium at 9 a.m.
