Florida Department of Health COVID-19 update; new cases in Calhoun, Bay, Walton, and Okaloosa Counties

FLORIDA, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Florida Department of Health announced there were 6,741 cases of COVID-19 in Florida as of Tuesday evening. They also announced the state's death toll was up to 85.

According to the Florida Department of Health dashboard, Calhoun County has it's first case of COVID-19. The individual is a 73 year old woman who is a Florida resident.

The DOH-Bay recorded one additional case in the county. The individual is a 57 year-old woman who is a resident of the county. This brings the number of cases in Bay County to eight.

The DOH-Walton recorded two more confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county. The individuals are a 26 year-old woman and a 90 year-old man, both are Florida residents. This brings the total number of cases in Walton County to 18.

There is also an additional case in Okaloosa County bringing the total in the county to 39.
