MARIANNA, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A fabric company is working to bring jobs to the Marianna area very soon.

"We'll actually get an order that was originated online from an online customer that picked out a product and we will manufacture that product at the time that the customer places the order," Finley said.

Some of the jobs available at the facility include sewing, automation, print, and IT. Finley said Catalyst plans to hire 30 to 50 people now, and 100 to 150 people within the next year.

"We've hired some people for our selling area, we've hired some people for our print area, we're also going to be doing embroidery out of this facility," Finley said. "That's going to be probably an overall six months hiring time."

Finley said some jobs will require certain skills, but others can be taught.

"Most of our technology interfaces are application based so if somebody has and uses a smart phone, chances are will be able to find career opportunities for them where they can utilize our technology. It's that simple," he said.

With the grand opening planned for early spring, Finley said he and others at Catalyst are ready to see the company grow in products and employees.
