TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - New legislation involving customary land use has moved forward in the Senate committees.

Thursday, the Senate Rules Committees voted 12 to one to send the SB 804 to the Senate floor.

According to the Florida Senate website, it will get its second reading Monday.

If the bill passes and is signed by the governor, it will nullify Walton County's customary land use ordinance enacted last March and give beachfront property owners more rights to restrict beach access.
