BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A new traffic signal is coming to Highway 77 at the intersection of Crooked Lane/Deane Bozeman School in Bay County. This comes a year after the Florida Department of Transportation studied the area and announced changes were needed.
It's an area of concern to residents as multiple fatal crashes have been reported there.
FDOT says the two-month installation will begin on September 25. During that time, there will be some lane restrictions. New crosswalks, signs and pavement markings will also be added.
The total cost of the project is $441,543.
