PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Northwest Florida Reception Center is wanting to help those who have lost their job due to the COVID 19 virus.
They currently have openings for Certified and Non Certified Corrections Officers and Food Service Employee Positions.
The Department of Corrections is paying for all training.
Requirements of the position are you must be a U.S. citizen, be at least 18 years-old, have no felony convictions, be able to own a firearm, have a valid drivers license, and have a high school diploma of GED.
There is a $1,000 sign on bonus after you complete training and pass the state board exam.
The salary for non-certified correctional officers is $30,150.38 annually or $14.49 hourly. The salary for certified correctional officers is $33,500.22 annually or $16.10 hourly.
Yearly benefits include 104 hours of sick leave, 104 hours of annual leave, 240 hours of military leave, and 9 state holidays and 1 personal holiday.
