OCSO: One dead after small plane crash near Niceville

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriffs Office, one person has died and another is undergoing treatment at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center following the crash of a small private aircraft on Forest Road near Niceville this afternoon.
Deputies reportedly received the call just before 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
Two people were reportedly removed from the aircraft and taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.
Deputies say one of the two died shortly before 4 p.m.
They say they believe the plane went down shortly after taking off from Ruckel Airport.
The FAA is investigating the crash.
