A semi-truck traveling east on I-10 near the 45 mile marker caught fire Monday morning around 1:30 a.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the fire started in a semi trailer loaded with processed goods. Troopers say the truck driver, a 26-year-old man from Orlando, was able to disconnect his tractor before the semi trailer became fully engulfed in flames on the right shoulder of the roadway. No injuries were reported.

I-10 eastbound at the 45 mile marker was shut down for several hours while multiple fire crews responded to extinguish the fire. Troopers say traffic was diverted off of the 45 mile marker onto Log Lake Rd., and onto U.S. 90.
