Okaloosa County Officials say public transit will resume Monday, May 18.

This includes the Okaloosa County (EC RIDER) and MV Transportation.

Officials say the safety measures will be enforced to protect passengers and employees.

All routes, fares, fees, services, will be resumed and the EC RIDER public lobby will be reopened.

Officials say passengers are asked to have bus fare ready and available before boarding the bus to reduce contact with bus drivers.

Social distancing of at least six feet and reducing bus capacity will be enforced, with a 50% passenger load on each route.

Passengers are encouraged to wear masks while riding transit or while in public lobbies.

Officials say buses will be thoroughly cleaned.
