JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A person was sent to a hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Jackson County.

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers say it happened Monday morning near the intersection of State Road 2 and Collins Chapel Road. Troopers say a vehicle driven by Diana Vazquez, 35, of Dothan, Alabama, drove on to the shoulder to make a U-turn and drove in front of the vehicle that was driving along the road behind her.

Troopers say Vazquez suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital while the driver in the other vehicle was not hurt.

They also say Vazquez was charged with driving without a license, improper U-turn, and driving without wearing a seatbelt.
