Palm Bay Prep Academy classes canceled Friday due to threat

Although Panama City Police have not found anything suspicious, Palm Bay Prep Academy school administrators have canceled school for the rest of the day Friday after a written threat was found.
Police Chief Scott Ervin tells us there was a threat written on a wall inside the school. He says officers arrived at the school around 10 a.m.
Students were evacuated by school personnel immediately.
Police say they have not received any more threats and they have not seen anything suspicious on campus.
School administrator have decided to cancel class for the rest of the day Friday as the Bay County Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit searches the campus. Parents may pick up their elementary and middle school children on the Balboa Avenue side of the campus. High school students can be picked up on the Wood Avenue side. Chief Ervin says parents should be prepared to show identification.
