PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - A special two-day event combining the beauty of the Gulf Coast with the excitement of Mardi Gras kicks off this weekend. Jordan McCool was live with the details.
The Panama City Beach Mardi Gras and Music Festival begins Friday, February 21 at 4 p.m. and continues Saturday, February 22 at noon. (WJHG)
The Panama City Beach Mardi Gras and Music Festival begins Friday, February 21 at 4 p.m. and continues Saturday, February 22 at noon.
In conjunction with the Krewe of Dominique Youx's great Mardi Gras at the Beach Parade, the festival is always held the weekend before Fat Tuesday and features entertainment for the whole family.
There will be plenty of live music, food, beads, costumes, and more. A big crowd is expected.

Friday, February 21
4-6 p.m. - Float Tours
4 p.m. - Kids Fun Zone/Festival Village
6 p.m.- Kids Parade
6:30 p.m.- Kids' Costumes Contests
7 p.m.- Second Line Crawl Parade
7:30 p.m.- Live Entertainment by Dukes of Dixieland
8:30 p.m. - Fireworks
Saturday, February 22
8 a.m. - Mardi Gras 5K/Fun Run
12 p.m. - Kids Fun Zone/ Festival Village
12 p.m. - Live entertainment: Victor Wainwright & the Train
1:30 p.m. - Headliner: Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Keith Paluso from the Voice
3 p.m. - Live Entertainment: Heat & the Zydeco Gents
4:15 p.m. - Krewe of Dominique Youx Mardi Gras at the Beach Main Parade
5:45 p.m. - Live entertainment: Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band
7 p.m.- Fireworks
