Panama City Beach Police locate and pull man from the water behind Runaway Island

On July 14, Panama City Beach Police say they pulled a white male from the water behind Runaway Island. He was a 67-year-old from Panama City Beach.

They say an unknown individual had called the department from a condo balcony about the man in the water at 6:14 p.m.

Initially, officials say PCB Police were assisting with another water rescue when they were "flagged down in reference to a missing person." It was then they received the call leading them to the man in the water.

The man's name has yet to be released upon notification of next-of-kin.
