PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - It was a night of floats and boats with the 30th annual Panama City Boat Parade of Lights and the Optimist Club Christmas Parade both taking place Saturday night.
Around 15 boats were decorated with Christmas lights and cruised from the St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club all the way to Sun Harbor Marina.
Residents faced the cold to see the boats, which offered up something a little different than your regular Christmas parades.
Shaylia Vandemark, a local watching with her family, said, "It's a lot different from watching the floats when you're in a normal parade so it's cool being on the water, but it's freezing!"
As the boats passed the Panama City Marina, they were scored by judges.
