Panama City residents took the time to focus on the holidays and the community Sunday afternoon.

The city held its Hope and Healing event at Joe and Jeannette Chapman Field at Tommy Oliver Stadium in Panama City.

The event featured everything from a snow queen to live music. The main event however was the more than 1,000 donated toys and gifts that were being given back to the kids of the community.

Organizers said it's nice to provide a sense of normalcy during an unusual holiday season.

Chris Jennings of the nonprofit All Things PCB said, "It's great to be able to give kids back something, a little bit of normalcy, a little bit of Christmas. Just restart and provide them a little bit of hope."

Music was provided by pianist Marvin Goldstein, Commissioner Billy Rader, True Soul and a community choir.
