Panama City last pass debris collection coming up

Panama City's last pass for Hurricane Michael debris collection will begin July 10th for people living in city limits.

City leaders ask all hurricane-generated debris be put on by the roadside by then. They say only storm-generated debris should be placed in the right of way.

Items that will be picked up include tree limbs, logs, branches, loose construction materials, inside items destroyed by the storm, broken glass, wallboard, carpet and other building material damaged by the storm.

Contractors are not allowed to dispose of debris on the right of way and need to make arrangements to haul debris to the landfill.

City leaders say if there are people who need help removing debris like trees or damaged sheds from their property, register for the city's Private Property Debris Removal Program. You can get an application at the Lake Huntington Club House on 15th Street or at the Police Substation on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
