Teen arrested after abandoning probation and fleeing Georgia

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A teenager is behind bars after abandoning his probation and fleeing Georgia.

According to Panama City Beach police, they received a tip from the Walker County Sheriff's Office in Georgia that Jadon Chase Snyder,18, absconded his probation on a gang-related felony conviction and left Georgia to re-located in Panama City Beach.

Police responded to his home on San Vicente Street where he was taken into custody without incident.

After searching the home, police said they found more than five ounces of marijuana, scales hundreds of plastic baggies, three guns with the serial numbers removed and a large amount of cash.

During questioning, they say Snyder gave police incriminating information about his involvement in these crimes.

Snyder is charged with being a fugitive from justice, possession of cannabis with the intent to distribute, altering the serial number on a firearm, dealing in stolen property and felon/delinquent in possession of a firearm.

He was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice where he will await a first appearance through Walker County, Georgia. Snyder will then be transferred to the Bay County Jail to await first appearance for local charges.
