A Panama City woman was charged for making a false report of child abuse according to Panama City police.
Karla Jenkins, 38, alleged that two of her neighbors were smoking marijuana and taking other drugs while children were present, according to police.
During the Department of Children and Families' investigation, Jenkins' allegation was proven false.
Jenkins' mother admitted to police that Jenkins had filed a false report and also stated that Jenkins made the request in retaliation to one of the neighbors, who had pressed charges on Jenkins for burglary earlier in the year according to police.
