Panama City working with FEMA to remove debris on private property

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Panama City is working with FEMA to launch a new Private Property Debris Removal Program.

The program will kick off on Monday, February 25 and end on May 4. Residents seeking help will have to apply and the property must be inspected prior to debris removal.

Not all applicants will receive help. Property owners who have received insurance proceeds or other financial benefits to complete debris removal work on their property are not eligible for the program.

Additionally, the City of Panama City has not determined the final date for storm-generated debris removal.
