PARKER, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - During Tuesday's City Council meeting, Parker city leaders approved a resolution to support the county's request for tax relief for people impacted by Hurricane Michael.

Mayor Richard Musgrave said the legislature has allowed tax relief in similar cases. He said the tax relief could help many storm victims recover from the storm.

"From a financial standpoint many of them are struggling so any opportunity they have to ease up some of their financial burden is a plus for them," said Musgrave.

Musgrave said the tax relief would also allow storm victims to pull money from their 401K without any penalty.
