PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - One local restaurant is making it easy for you to "Pay it Forward" this week.
For the eighth year, Pineapple Willy's on South Thomas Drive in Panama City Beach is raising money for three charities.
Through Friday, 100 percent of your bill benefits Beach Care Services, Panama City Beach Paws and Claws, and BASIC Northwest Florida.
"We helped over 700 families last year so we're [making] a big impact on the community," Bill Buskell, the Owner of Pineapple Willy's, said. "With locals' help coming out the next three days, and supporting us, we can make a bigger impact."
Beach Care Services supports families when short-term emergencies come up, ranging from transportation needs to health care.
Panama City Beach Paws and Claws is a volunteer based organization that help save homeless and abandoned pets.
Some of the money is also going to BASIC Northwest Florida, an organization dedicated to helping and comforting those who deal with HIV/AIDS.
"We're real happy with the turnout because this is an opportunity for locals to come out right after the season. The weather's been just fantastic," said Buskell.
