PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG) - The Perseid Meteor Shower peaks tonight, but clouds & the nearly full moon will be inhibiting factors. Still, on average we could see as many as 1/minute. The moon sets at 4:19am so after that & b4 sunrise (6:09a) will be the best time to see them.
The Perseid Meteor Shower peaks Monday night into Tuesday morning, August 12-13.
Just find a nice, dark view of the sky and hope for breaks in the clouds. While the radiant will be in the NE you can see them looking in any direction.
