PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Saturday Pier Park's marketing team wanted to show locals and visitors how they can take advantage of the tax-free holiday weekend in style.
Pier Park hosted its Back to School Beach Bash near the center of the shopping plaza. It featured several local food and fun vendors and was aimed to help jump start the Back to School process.
The highlight of the afternoon was the Back to School fashion show, emceed by Local 18's Jennifer Holton. Kids and young adults showed off the latest fashions on the catwalk, all of which can be found in Pier Park stores.
"We wanna go back to school, it's on tax-free weekend," said Christina Regan with Pier Park's marketing team. "We want to give everyone an opportunity to see what they can wear in the fall. It's an opportunity to dress up for school outfits and make them what we can as their own."
This is the fourth year Pier Park has hosted an event like this. Regan said throughout the tax-free weekend, Pier Park stores will operate under extended hours.
