LYNN HAVEN, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Some people in Lynn Haven should expect to not have water for part of Thursday, according to city officials.

Lynn Haven's lead water operator said starting at 8 a.m. Thursday, water will be shut off to make changes to the water distribution system associated with the Highway 390 widening project.

Those in the 1100-1400 blocks of Tennessee Avenue, Kentucky Avenue, Missouri Avenue, Carolina Avenue, the 600-800 blocks of West 14th Street, 600-1000 blocks of West 13th Street, and the 600-1000 blocks of West 12th Street will see water outages while work is done, according to the city. Once the water is turned back on, there will be a precautionary boil water notice in place.

City officials recommend water used for drinking or cooking be boiled before using. They say a rolling boil of one minute is sufficient.

The precautionary boil water notice will be in effect until bacteriological samples come back showing the water is safe to drink.
