Trane in Lynn Haven partnered up with Feeding the Gulf Coast and a Hand Up International to put on another pop-up food pantry for residents in the area.
The drive-thru started at 9 a.m. and ended at noon. There were almost 80,000 pounds of food to be handed out, and by noon, almost all of it was all gone.
“There's people going hungry right now, and without the food pantries and free food, they won't have anything to eat...It's been amazing. I've seen so many thankful people. It's just been the best feeling in the world to provide food for someone that is in need,” said Zac McGuire, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Trane.
Volunteers handed out groceries to more than 4,000 people in cars in an assembly line fashion. As of right now, the organizations are unsure if they will be hosting another pantry.
