The screenings are provided to help the District meet the needs of students from day one of school, and give parents the opportunity to ask any questions they may have.

It will take place on July 24 and 25 at six elementary school sites.

While there, parents can sign up for Parent Portal and they'll receive a free clothing voucher for the Back-to-School Bash August 1.

Crystal Boyette, the Structural Specialist for Student Services for Bay District Schools, said, "This is really gonna give parents and kids a jump-start, so, right now they're developing classes and so the information that they get can kind of help put those students with the right folks to really start their year out strong."

The screening sites are Hutchison Beach Elementary, Cedar Grove Elementary, Lucille Moore Elementary, Parker Elementary, Hiland Park Elementary, and Waller Elementary.
